The Wings for Iraq program is a project of love and support that sends personalized Beanies to many individual soldiers in Iraq.
The Beanies come personalized with dog tags, a birthday (4-13-05), a short phrase and the soldier's name on the Beanie.  Peace also came with a camoflaged jacket.  (Shown right)
Besides Peace, the other Beanies used in the project were Halo, Halo II, Harold, Magic, Scorch and Valor.
Each Beanie that reaches a soldier will carry a letter, using the watercolor painting shown at the bottom of this page as a background.  The letters will have a "thank you, from a loving nation."
The Beanie's dog tags and letter will also be numbered.
Wings for Iraq was started by Jocelyn Hall, and has been supported by many individuals who have helped with computer graphics, watercolor painting and money and Beanie donations.
The soldiers have also requested Beanies to hand out to Iraqi children who have nothing.  Donated Beanies going to the children will be distributed through Beanies for Baghdad (
www.beaniesforbaghdad.com).
If you know a soldier in Iraq and would like to send them a personalized Beanie as a reminder that they are loved an appreciated, send Jocelyn an email. (Address posted below).  Also, to contribute to Wings for Iraq, contact Jocelyn at
