| Peace the Bear was introduced on May 11, 1997 as a replacement to Garcia, who was retired on the same day. Peace's bright colors quickly made him very popular, and he his still a highly collected bear today (thus, this Website). Peace's birthday is February 1, 1996. His poem reads: All races, all colors, under the sun Join hands together and have some fun Dance to the music, rock and roll is the sound Symbols of peace and love abound! During his production life, he was produced with fourth and fifth generation swing (heart) tags, and third, fourth, fifth and sixth tush tags. He was manufactured in China and Indonesia. Indonesian Peace's are some of the most collectable Peace bears, as very few of them were made, due to Indonesia's poor quality. However, Indonesian Peace bears' counterfeit looks are made up for by their bright colors! Throughout the years, Peace has been used to promote and commemorate various organizations and events.
