The UK based organization CHERISH (www.cherishonline.co.uk) issued these special Peace bears for its promotion CHERISH peace bear. The theme for this promotion was "In November We CHARISH Peace."
Only fifty of these bears were produced, and they were sold directly from the CHERISH Web site on November 13, 2005.
Each bear came with a hand-made necklace, an official One London badge, a Peruvian friendship bracelet as a headband, a special CHERISH Peace 2005 hang tag, a CHERISH hang tag, a commemorative card, an origami crane and a White Peace Poppy.
Funds from this promotion were used to aid cancer research in the UK.
UPDATE: A couple weeks later, a donation of a Peace Beanie Buddy was sold from the CHERISH Web site. The Buddy was decorated similar to the above Beanies. |
